Among the numerous projects we are working on we have decided to submit at the FASEP call for projects “Sustainable African city within 2020” from the French government the one which combines the production of drinking water with the drying of food products from agriculture with solar energy. Both photovoltaic panels and et thermovoltaic one are used to produce electricity and heat from the air circulating below the panels. The heated air feed the drying container to dry crops. This type of solution has a huge potential in developing countries but would also certainly interest farmers in developed countries. Our team of partners to perform this very exiting project includes POLYMEM, STARTEC, BASE Innovation, ATMOSKY, ENSAM Talence and partners in the Zam region of Burkina Faso.
